Ant-Man and the Wasp was such a "nothing" movie. Took a while but I think I've started suffering from complete MCU fatigue. Ironically, the only thing from that universe that I'm still invested in is the one which most people either dislike or don't care about (Agents of SHIELD, which has been pretty fun for the last three seasons or so).
Admittedly it was kind of the reverse for me, I had MCU fatigue with Ragnarok and such, and then Ant-Man and the Wasp (...And Black Panther and Avengers) come back and remind me why I really liked it. Even the comedy which usually I thought little of.

Funny how we've had basically opposite reactions to this :P

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I don't really see how they're deserving of such high ratings at this point, when they're all so similar.

Like they're decent but you come away like "Yep, that's an MCU movie" not "Wow, that was a cinematographic masterpiece!"

Though the MCU obviously can't be blamed for the mindlessly high praise people give things.

Still not watched The Martian, need to get on that...

Crazy Awesome Legend

Very good film. It's actually based on the time I was visiting Mars and forgot where I parked my Tardis.

To be fair, you do have Black Panther which did really well, had a rather charged message for being part of a corporate conglomerate that prefers to stay bland an inoffensive. I'd say it has made a real mark independent of the marvel brand.

They are action movies set in the same universe, of course they are gonna be similar.

In my opinion, the cinematography and overall quality of the movies have improved ever since the beginning.

Yeah but if you boil it down, it is really quite a bland movie within the MCU formula. It didn't really bring up any revolutionary concepts or anything. I don't believe ratings should be racially charged. It's great what it did for the ethnic community and that should obviously be recognized but it's still quite a simple movie.
Much like how Iron Man and Doctor Strange are almost the same movie.

I guess so but there's so many of them that they can't not get some things right. The most recent ones while formulaic have definitely been a bit better, Ragnarok is a good example. The other two Thor movies are boring as hell.

But then I don't think GoG 2 even holds a candle to the first. There's still quite a few missteps.

I hope we get back to the smaller scale movies soon, big Avengers wars are good and all but I want movies with a focused and good story like Winter Soldier again.
I guess Avengers 4 has a good chance of being better than Infinity War since
